Lorraine is one of those Yankees that never left, originally hailing from the New York/New Jersey area. Lorraine fell in love with birth and breastfeeding after her first child was born. She has served as a volunteer breastfeeding counselor in Chapel Hill and has helped many mothers and babies learn to breastfeed in her role as a labor, birth, and postpartum nurse at UNC and at Women’s Birth and Wellness Center. Lorraine is dedicated to supporting and empowering women through pregnancy and early motherhood. She teaches the prenatal classes at Baby+Company, runs new mother support groups, and provides lactation services as a Certified Lactation Consultant. Lorraine lives in Hillsborough with her three AMAZING children and one sassy cat. Her interests include integrative health, gardening, singing, and spending time (preferably outdoors) with her family, and friends.
